The 16 patients we interviewed who had not presented for parasitology and LAMP testing within 1 month of referral ultimately (after the interview) tested negative on all subsequent tests. The 4 patients we interviewed who had presented for parasitology and LAMP testing but not for their quarterly follow-up RDT test ultimately tested negative and were dismissed. *Patients who test positive via parasitological tests are considered cases, while those who test negative but LAMP-positive are sent back for further parasitological testing
